Mercer County Park
Spend a day in nature enjoying a brisk trail hike or some bird-watching at Mercer County Park in nearby West Windsor Township. The park offers a wide variety of nature programs and activities for those of all ages throughout the year.
Historical Battlefields
Explore history in Mercer County by visiting locations like Princeton Battlefield, where American and British troops fought The Battle of Princeton in 1777, or Washington Crossing State Park, where George Washington crossed the Delaware during the American Revolution.
Drumthwacket
Take a tour of Drumthwacket, the historic home of New Jersey governor Charles Smith Olden. Originally built in Princeton in 1835 as the governor’s home, Drumthwacket is open for free public tours on Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

The historical society hosts a variety of events and activities residents at Meadow Lakes enjoy attending. The historic house and garden tours are particular favorites.
Grounds for Sculpture
Located in Trenton, Grounds for Sculpture is situated on the former New Jersey Fairgrounds and includes three of the original major buildings, all restored to their former glory. Visitors enjoy a constantly evolving collection of amazing outdoor sculptures on 42 beautiful, landscaped acres. Tours and events are available year-round.
